Who We Are
Hadassah International (HI) was established in 1983 to improve lives around the globe through medical healing, teaching and research at the Hadassah Medical Organization (HMO) in Jerusalem.
Hadassah International’s Mission:
- Serve as a bridge between nations through medicine
- Facilitate cooperation, alliances and partnerships between international organizations and the Hadassah Medical Center
- Promote the advancement of healthcare in cooperation with the public, private and philanthropic sectors both locally and globally
HI has established a strong global network of dedicated friends, supporters and partners of HMO and is in a unique position to form and grow partnerships that will help countries and communities open to cooperation.
As a model of excellence in medicine, effective public health delivery and translational clinical research, HI can deliver added value in shaping the innovative model of medical development and health care.
HI’s global activities:
- Organization of Global Health Summit (scheduled for 2023) with international philanthropists, scientists, and policymakers
- Delivery of Community Prevention and Crisis Management Programs
- Sharing medical protocols and knowledge from HMO
- Medical Webinars and Teleconferences with HMO specialists
- Remote Crisis Management in isolated locations through telemedicine
- Creating global communities of self-support for dealing with pandemic effects
- Virtual exchange of know-how among HMO and international experts
2 recent major humanitarian and medical missions:
In 2021 a mission to Argentina, in which the members of the delegation from the Hadassah Ein Kerem hospital in Jerusalem shared their medical expertise and experience in dealing with the COVID-19 pandemic.
The mission also worked with the Argentine authorities to investigate the opportunity of developing a Phase III trial of the Israeli Brilife vaccine against COVID-19 in Argentina.

From March to June 2022, 100 health professionals and logistical staff from Hadassah lead a mission to the Polish-Ukrain border – one of the longest and most complex humanitarian medical missions in the history of Hadassah Medical Organization.
The team spent an average of 10 days each on the Polish Ukrainian border, treating and assisting over 35,000 Ukrainian refugees in four different locations while training their Polish counterparts at the partner hospital in Lublin in emergency and trauma medicine.
To complete its mission, Hadassah partnered with local and international NGOs including the Polish Red Cross, Paramedics of the Health Departments of the local districts, InterSOS, Médecins Sans Frontières MSF, Natan Humanitarian Relief, WHO and more.
