What we do

Founded in 1983, Hadassah International unites people of all faiths and nationalities in their mission to improve lives around the globe through their financial support of the pioneering medical healing, teaching, and research at the Hadassah hospitals in Jerusalem.
 
With representatives on five continent, we are a worldwide network of  volunteers who believe that advancing cooperation for medicine must transcend politics, religion, and national boundaries. The universality of the work we do allows us to establish research and clinical ventures between Hadassah hospitals and medical institutions around the globe.

Hadassah Medical Organization includes two university hospitals in Jerusalem

Hadassah hospitals are Jerusalem’s leading tertiary care facilities offering the highest level in specialized treatment across the spectrum of medical disciplines. In collaboration with the Hebrew University Hadassah Medical School, Israel’s preeminent institution for healthcare research and development, Hadassah leads the way in cutting edge research, breakthrough technology and precious human capital.

The hospital system has built its foundation on a triad of pillars associating people, technology and infrastructure to ensure the growth, prosperity and stability of care for the population at large. With the population of Jerusalem growing at a rapid pace, Jerusalem’s hospitals service some 1.35 million people. As Jerusalem’s primary referral hospital, Hadassah has integrated a host of leading medical technologies including robotics, minimally invasive procedures, artificial intelligence, 3D printing, proton therapy, advanced monitoring, stem cell / CAR-T therapies, regenerative medicine and drug development to name but a few recent advances.

Hadassah Medical Organization, founded by Hadassah, The Women’s Zionist Organization of America, established modern healthcare in Israel. Caregivers treat without regard to race, religion, sexual orientation and nationality. For its achievements and unwavering dedication to peace through equal access to treatment for the people of the region, Hadassah is the only Israeli hospital ever nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize.

Hadassah hospitals

Hadassah founded Israel’s seminal healthcare system over 100 years ago. Among its immeasurable contributions to the State of Israel are the founding of numerous regional hospitals, and a series of firsts from breakthroughs in research through to medical procedures and the integration of cutting-edge technologies for patient care.
