Hadassah Ein Kerem was built in 1961 to replace the hospital lost in 1948 on land belonging to the Hadassah Women’s Zionist Organization in the iconic Ein Kerem suburb of Jerusalem. The hospital quickly became the symbol of cutting-edge medical practice and research.

This 950-bed tertiary care hospital treats virtually every conceivable aspect of modern medicine and serves as a national referral center for complex and challenging medical cases. Hadassah University Hospital-Ein Kerem’s campus has over 28 buildings.

The outstanding research facilities include the Hadassah Clinical Research Center, the Goldyne Savad Institute for Gene Therapy, the Human Embryonic Stem Cell Research Center, Israel’s only hospital-based cyclotron, and a world-class GMP laboratory.
